thump

note to self: never doubt mr. alan cheng's taste in music.

---

so i'm looking for some music that can kinda serve as a break from indie. listening to one type of music all the time kinda gets old, even if it's good.

i needed something with bass. something that i could relax to. study music, in other words.

hmmm...

then i remembered alan telling me about zero 7 and theivery corporation... so i decided to check them out. bittorrent is my freind.

my first impression: jazz, electronica, and a bit of indie rock mashed together. interesting mix, but it works. the genere is called trip-hop. you can find it on amazon under "Top Sellers > Music > Styles > Dance > DJ > Trip-Hop". it makes for great chill music.

heres some good albums. some aren't exactly trip-hop, just good electronia.

verve remixed vol. 3
theivery corporation - cosmic game
air - talkie walkie
zero 7 - simple things
jem - finally woken
massive attack - 100th window
amon tobin - chaos theory
m83 - before the dawn heals us
moby - hotel
brazilian girls

i'm still trying to find albums from ivy, tahiti 80, and lcd soundsystem. if you guys know where to find them, let me know.
